In the wake of the Financial Crisis, Robert Skidelsky proposed fostering new economic thinking through a wholesale reform of undergraduate economics education. In response, the Institute formed two committees. Institute Academic Council member Perry Mehrling chairs the American committee, while the British committee is chaired by Skidelsky himself.
