This research project discovers how real people, not just the abstractions of traditional economic theory, respond to various possible policy interventions aimed to bring climate change under control and thus which policies will have the biggest impact.

We know a great deal about the modifications in behavior by businesses and individuals that will be required to bring climate change under control. Using surveys and experiments, this project discovers how real people, not just the abstractions of traditional economic theory, will make decisions about their own energy consumption in response to various possible policy interventions and thus which policies will have the biggest impact.
