Ricardo Reis is Professor of Economics at Columbia University. He is a Research Associate of the NBER, a Research Fellow of the CEPR, and an academic consultant at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He is currently a co-editor of the Journal of Monetary Economics and sits on the editorial board of the American Economic Review, the Journal of Economic Literature, the Economic Journal, and the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. He contributes regularly to the public debate in his native country, Portugal.
