Roberto Iacono

Roberto Iacono’s research expertise is at the intersection between public, labor economics and political economy, with a focus on policy-relevant questions related to the Nordic model of economic development and welfare.

Roberto Iacono is an associate professor in economics and social policy at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. Iacono holds a PhD in economics from the department of economics at NTNU, completed in 2015 with a thesis on the macroeconomics of natural resources. Since then, Iacono’s research has focused on the economics of the welfare state, primarily looking at lessons from the Nordic economies. He is also a coordinator of the Young Scholar Initiative (YSI-INET) working group on political economy of europe.
