ETH Zurich. Technology, innovation, bubbles and venture capital.
Tobias A. Huber is currently a doctoral researcher at the Chair of Entrepreneurial Risks at the Department of Management, Technology and Economics at ETH Zurich. His PhD thesis, which is supervised by Didier Sornette, deals with the nature of bubbles in finance, technology and society. It examines how bubbles can be understood as an important and necessary process of innovation. By exploring how technological bubbles can be characterized, quantified and predicted, Tobias Huber’s project intersects with approaches in economics, history, sociology and philosophy of science. His research interests include innovation, technology, market bubbles and crashes and venture capital. He is a coordinator of the Complexity Economics working group.
