Harald Hagemann, born 1947, is Professor of Economic Theory at the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany. He is also a Life Member of Clare Hall, University of Cambridge. In the academic year 1999/2000 he was Theodor Heuss Professor at the Graduate Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at the New School for Social Research in New York. He formerly taught at the Universities of Bremen and Kiel, the Free University of Berlin, and as Visiting Professor at the Universities of Bologna, Linz, Nice, Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, Strasbourg and Sydney. He has been President of the European Society for the History of Economic Thought ESHET 2010-12 and is currently Chairman of the German Keynes Society. He is also member of several editorial boards, including The European Journal of the History of Economic Thought and the Journal of the History of Economic Thought, as well as member of the advisory board of the journal History of Political Economy.
