Signe Krogstrup

Signe Krogstrup is Assistant Director and Deputy Head of Monetary Policy Analysis at the Swiss National Bank. She is also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the International Monetary System. In 2012-2013, Signe participated in the Danish government appointed Committee on the Identification, Regulation and Resolution of Systemically Important Financial Institutions in Denmark. She previously worked as an external lecturer at the University of St. Gallen, the ETH Zurich and the Graduate Institute in Geneva. Prior to joining the Swiss National Bank, Signe worked or consulted for various international organizations and financial institutions, including the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, the European Central Bank and Goldman Sachs.

Signe holds a doctoral degree in international economics from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva. Her expertise is in international money, finance and banking, and main research questions include the transmission of unconventional monetary policies, global financial linkages and the cross-border transmission of financial shocks. She has written and lectured extensively on the international monetary and financial system, monetary policy and political economy.
